USAF’s Flying Saucer - Fantasy or Real?
February 3rd, 2008 | All Rights Reserved © 2008
1 Minute 7 seconds - atlanticobr Did the USAF build its own flying saucer? Some very convincing pictures made many people believe that all ufo sightings were in fact related to classified top secret military black projects.
The USAF’s flying disk flew like a typical plane, as you can clearly see in this picture compilation.
What people didn’t know was that the pictures were faked. They were created by Michael H. Schratt to “illustrate” what he “believed” were craft that probably did exist.
Of course, without that context, the pictures started a life on their own. Mister Schratt’s website usafflyingsaucers.com went offline (still accessible through the waybackmachine) and a new myth was (deliberately) born.
If you still have any doubts about the USAF’s flying disk, then have a look at these authentic pictures that were later on “used” to prove the flying disk’s existence. You’ll recognize the “base pictures” instantly!

I have seen several UFO’s in my life.
My most recent encounter with an UFO was that I couldn’t tell if it was a 727 or 747. Probably because it was flying at 38,000 feet. Might of been that I forgot my glasses that day. Either way, I couldn’t identify it.
My first experience was my ex-wife throwing plates at me. I couldn’t tell if it was the good China or the cheap Wal-Mart dinnerware.
Be sure to visit this site often so that I can keep you informed of any further sightings.

Darryl,
I guess anyone has the right to ridicule the subject of ufos. I was no different. I changed my opinion (or should I say that I was forced to) when I witnessed the “impossible” during the Belgian UFO flap in 1990. I hope you’ll see a real ufo once in your lifetime as well. If you do, then please share your story with anyone you care about.
Actually, I don’t have to ask you that… you’ll do it automatically!
Hope to see you here again in the near future.

Steve,
Your a great sport !!!
I’ll be sure to keep an open mind on the subject of UFO’s. I have a difficult time believing that we are the only intelligent beings in this massive universe.
February 3rd, 2008 at 6:46 pm
Peace man. Come back soon. Please do!
February 3rd, 2008 at 8:21 pm
If we were the only intelligent beings in the universe I’d say the universe made a botch of it. The really intelligent beings are probably sitting back looking at us and eating the galactic equivalent of popcorn. That’s what I do when i visit the zoo.

Hi Gill,
That’s a nice metaphor you’re using in your comment. I like that!
February 3rd, 2008 at 9:02 pm
One day the people of your world will learn that there are no UFOs. Your governments have catalogues of all of our craft.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:35 pm
Besides Darryl completetely making my weekend, my only contribution is this… We would be foolish to believe we are the only intelligent people in the universe, intelligent enough to successfully travel through space and perhaps collect information from other intelligences. Do I think UFOs are real, in the sense of aliens? No. If a being can find a way to travel across galaxies to visit us, I’m sure they can keep from being identified by a four-toothed farmer in Arkansas. Do I think sightings are real? No. Do I wish they are? Yes. I could go on and on, but Bigfoot’s eggs are getting cold.

Hi Lael,
I am glad Darryl made your weekend
I completely understand your point, but would like to contribute that seeking (and not finding) logics doesn’t disprove the possibility that we have been visited by some alien intelligence. I know what I saw!
BTW, my wish (the one I made for Darryl) should work for you as well.
Glad you stopped by.

Blznrg,
I almost deleted your comment because I couldn’t figure out the point you’re trying to make (I think you wanna say that everything is identified already, if not… maybe I am just plain stupid). But since I don’t like censorship… welcome to ufospider.com

It’s a fake
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:56 pm
Oh really? Isn’t that what this post is all about? Read it again if you don’t believe me,… but that’s really what this post is all about…
Welcome!

I have only seen one flying UFO, and it was estimated to be cruising at 450,000 MPH. It had the ability to do 180 degree turns at about 250,000 MPH and 90 degree turns at 180,000 MPH. The size of the vehicle was estimated to be around 7,000 feet across. It displayed for about 20 minutes then disappeared. This USAF plane would only fool those who have zero experience with UFOs and those with little education concerning them.

UFO or not, our government has many advance design aircraft flying the friendly skies. Of course, it is difficult to impossible to prove. Going on past experiences with air force pilots that have told their stories of buzzing airlines in flight and triggering a flurry of UFO reports, just to cover up the test flights. Kinda makes you wonder how many fun times we have ahead of us…
Keep in mind, these aircraft may be able to go into space without the massive rocket engines we are used to seeing. It was a few years ago that the air force was able to shoot a satellite in orbit with a fighter jet and missile. With the right engines it could have transitioned into a space vehicle.
And if it were an ROV, no pilot, then it could handle those impossible maneuvers we hear about. So all the rumors and conjecture we hear about could be our own planetary vehicles flying around. Based on the recovered UFO from Roswell and stored at area 51, that is…
As you may have noticed, I am not really supporting ETs, as there is too much evidence to point to the other conclusion. However, I do not rule them out as it could be possible! My thinking runs along the line of it being people from our future, but I kinda think not, as any mixing of temporal energy may cancel out and prevent the time travel. Keeping an open mind, but using my own thoughts about the subject. KISS also helps.
I am just a science nerd who likes to keep up on what is released to the public and comparing what is not. After all, the flying wing was a bust until stealth technology needed it, and now it is technology the world knows about. Technology that started in the late 40’s early 50’s… And the SR-71, built in the 50’s, retired, yet still classified?

The United States HAS tested a real flying saucer, called the Avrocar. It was made in Canada by Avro Canada, who had hoped it would be the US Army’s jeep replacement in the 1950s. Unfortunately it was riddled with problems and the project was eventually cancelled. Just google ‘Avrocar’ for more info.

Hi Geminate,
Many pictures are meant to fool both believers and disbelievers. Thanks for your input.

Blznrg, that was hilarious.

Hi Crash,
Being an airline pilot myself, I must admit that I know quite a bit about aircraft and their traditional propulsion systems.
I have always kept an open mind when it comes to “exotic” propulsion systems (especially the ones that don’t make any noise at all).
With that in mind, I have studied the possibility of aircraft being equiped with anti-noise systems. Nothing comes close to what I have seen in 1990.
Also, the flight charachteristics (having witnessed a big flying machine - in the middle of the night - maintaining a knife edge position, low level and pretty slow) and the “lights” that were mounted on it (the craft was equiped with very bright lights that didn’t shine - a bit like neon lights but not exactly that) didn’t make much sense at all. I was overwhelmed with it.
Nearly 20 years later, one would expect that “secret information” to be released. It hasn’t happened yet, so I suspect it wasn’t one of ours.
February 4th, 2008 at 9:21 am
Hi Guy,
The reason why many aircraft manufacturers tried their very best to make such a design is because (IMO) they knew “flying disks” existed already (by observation from both military personnel and civilians) and “saw” what they were capable of. Unfortunately, “rinse and repeat” didn’t work out quite well.
Thanks for your input.
February 4th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Steve, by your logic (”9:11 am”) regarding “secret information,” there’s no terrestial way to confirm past sightings of ETs via government records. Afterall, its been close to 60 years since the governments starting recording sightings and nothings has been released.
February 4th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
Captain Apathy,
The big question is… is there anything “conclusive” to release, and is it “safe” to release it?
Everybody thinks “The Government” knows what’s going on.
Maybe some governments are just observing just like civilians do.
Maybe other governments have better tools to observe.
Maybe a few governments are just pretending they know more about the whole subject (confirm nor denial policies), hoping that other governments “share” some information with them.
Keep an open mind my friend… there is a lot of leaked “disinformation” available right now!

Lulabelle,
I removed your comment for the following reason…
I first accepted it (although I had serious doubts if your “I was abducted by my neighbour”-story was genuine), then every 5 minutes, a new response came in… usually something like “Lulabelle, I have a real UFO in my garage, why don’t you come to my house…”
I got so tired of it that I removed everything.
I did send you a personal email to notify you, but your message was bounced back.
Hope you’re alright!
Steve

Hey Steve,
Ya, there are many things that I have seen too, but some of the explanations are just too strange to understand. Kinda like what you hear in the MIB movie, swamp gas and Venus rising in the west and such. I have a little science education and I know if one star is being affected by mirage then a few others should too, not just the bright star which is going all over the sky passing between the stars and me.
And I do know that helicopters have FLIR that allows them to fly in fog at low levels as if it were a clear day. L3 communications is working on an inexpensive version for general aviation today, neat stuff!
However, I still think the unmanned ROV is what a lot of us see. And if they are not ours, it explains why the military try to catch them at times! Funny that they can’t though, must be they are thumbing their noses at the military! Or the unmanned craft don’t have to worry about heavy g forces in maneuvers.
Although, I think what you may have seen is a balloon. Especially a military balloon, unless it suddenly took off at a high velocity, as balloons normally don’t have that capability. As for low noise engines, I have not heard of them…
February 6th, 2008 at 10:10 am
Hi crash,
I have thought about the fact that blimps and balloons don’t need airfoils to stay airborne. They can fly extremely slow, and can even maintain a hover position without much trouble. Yet, if that’s really what I saw (let’s stick to the military blimp hypothesis), then why did it make that strange transition towards a knife edge manoeuvre (showing its colorful belly) and maintaining it. And why would a secret military blimp be so colorful in the middle of the night? Pretty stupid secret, if you ask me. What’s the purpose of having noiseless engines then.
One more thing… During the Belgian UFO flap, only the “triangle” got the attention of the international media. Maybe it’s good to know that many other strange shapes were seen as well during that same period (rectangular, quadrangular, etc…). Many were reported through SOBEPS, a private organisation who did a wonderful job. And yes, there were reports of high velocity transitions as well (including by the military who intercepted one of the craft twice).
Thanks for your comment!

Hey Steve,
Like I said, who knows what surprises the future, or past, hold for us.
As for the main stream media, they always toe the sane point of view. Anyone who reports a UFO is a kook, crackpot, loon, etc… Even if the person reporting the incident is a highly regarded member of the community, and the reporter knows the person, the media outlet still tags that person as different.
And why a UFO would show itself, well, perhaps they like to impress the monkeys jumping about and screeching at the pretty lights, then telling fantastic stories about them… Although, at a distance, a little light (radiation), even at night, causes an object to disappear. But up close, it looks strange, depending on the types of radiation.
I know what I have experienced, and I also know others who have experienced something. I believe there is something out there, as to what it is or who it is, I do not know first hand. I have told my experiences to a few others, and I have heard theirs. Like I said, I try to keep an open mind.
Anyone reading this and thinking I am one of the loons who escaped the bin, just means you have not had an experience, or deny what you may have seen.
February 7th, 2008 at 10:46 am
Crash,
This monkey (yours trully) was impressed.
Personally, I do care what people think about me, and that last paragraph you wrote is certainly not misplaced here: “… Anyone reading this and thinking I am one of the loons who escaped the bin, just means you have not had an experience, or deny what you may have seen.”
That sums it all up.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
